Award winning, chef of Clandestino and host of Receita de Viagem TV Show (TLC Discovery), Bel Coelho discovered her vocation early.

From a family of gastronomy lovers, she has in her affective memory a strong connection with the kitchen and its flavors. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), she worked with great chefs at some of the world’s most important restaurants, such as El Celler de Can Roca, gaining experience and a rich repertoire in cutting-edge and classic techniques.

Ahead the TV Show, she toured more than 35 Brazilian cities, deepening her research and exploring, with a different look, the authentic cuisine of Brazil and all its richness of ingredients, characters, traditions and histories. In addition to Clandestino, Bel travels the country with several projects, which include classes, lectures and also private events, held through her catering service.

Clandestino restaurant in Sao Paulo

Chef Bel Coelho made her name when she left Alex Atala’s D.O.M. and launched her solo career at Sabuji restaurant, and almost immediately began winning all sorts of awards. She’s only 30 but has been in the business for 13 years. She launched her new restaurant Clandestino in 2017.

This restaurant, run by famous Bel Coelho, prides itself in serving a menu of dishes made with native ingredients of edible plants. Most of the combinations are really interesting and can be very original and tasty. The restaurant only opens once a month for about 4 nights.
